Jennifer LopezJennifer Lopez will guest star on lesbian drama The Fosters.

The former American Idol judge is producing the show for ABC - which features a same-sex couple and their family - and although they have ruled out an appearance by Jennifer in the first episode, she is keen to take part later in the season.

Jake T. Austin, who plays a foster son to the couple, told E! News, "She was maybe thinking about doing a cameo in the pilot, but there was some apprehension in deciding how early they wanted to feature someone like her into the show. So she'll definitely come on but at this point we just don't know when."

Jake is excited about the show, which features Teri Polo and Sherri Saum as the lesbian couple, because he feels it is "very timely." He explained, "It's very current, it's very timely and it's something that's needed, especially on a platform like ABC. The thing is it's a family show and it's relatable. It's not targeting any specific demographic. We're just trying to tell a story and to appeal to a mixed crowd."

Glee

Glee has been renewed for two more seasons. The musical/comedy show has been confirmed for series five and six after impressing Fox bosses with its ratings in its fourth season.

"Glee debuted as the first and only successful musical comedy series on television, and more than four years later, it continues to defy genres, break new ground and have a significant impact on popular culture. Week in and week out, Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan, Dante DiLoreto and the entire Glee team deliver a series that not only delights and surprises fans, but also inspires them to talk about, share, debate and engage with the show and I'm absolutely thrilled to have them on board for another two seasons," said Fox president Kevin Reilly.

Hemlock Grove

Following the success of House of Cards, Netflix has launched its next original series, Hemlock Grove. All thirteen episodes of Hemlock Grove were made available to Netflix subscribers early this morning albeit to lackluster critic reviews. Hemlock Grove is based on a 2012 novel penned by Brian McGreevy, a supernatural thriller that is set in a small town in Pennsylvania. The plot revolves around the murder of a teenage girl, and the odd and unorthodox residents who are potential suspects. The show stars Famke Janssen, Bill Skarsgard, Landon Liboiron, and Penelope Mitchell.

The horror genre is more forgiving than many others, and as such, even with the series being panned for not having much of a storyline, it may find success with the Netflix audience. Netflix invested $45 million in the production of the first season, and so far over 1,400 Netflix members have rated the show an average of 3.9 out of 5 stars.

What's next for Netflix? The fourth season of Arrested Development. All 15 episodes of the cult hit will hit Netflix on May 26th.

January Jones as Betty Draper

January Jones found filming Mad Men tough when she was pregnant. The 35-year-old actress - who is mother to 18-month-old Xander, but refuses to name the father - had her baby bump disguised in a storyline which saw her character, Betty Francis, put on weight because she was unhappy, and the beauty says each day's shooting was hard.

"When we started filming, I was quite pregnant and had to come into work at 3am each day for six or seven hours of prosthetic make-up," she explained. January added she was "afraid" of the response to her changing appearance, but found the reaction by fans was even better than she imagined: "I was very afraid of how that first episode would look when it aired, but I loved the audience response to her. When she's bigger, viewers are more sympathetic to her."

Alec BaldwinAlec Baldwin is being lined up to front a late-night talk show.

The 30 Rock actor - who is currently starring in a stage production of Orphans on New York's Broadway - is said to have had "conversations" with NBC about taking over the slot currently occupied by Carson Daly's Last Call after impressing network chiefs with his podcast series.

"People have been impressed with his radio podcast series and have thought about him for these opportunities," a source said.

Alec's podcast series with WNYC radio, called Here's The Thing, has seen him interview stars including David Letterman, Billy Joel, Kristen Wiig and Chris Rock away from the studio into locations such as his guest's apartment. If the proposed 30-minute TV show followed the same format, it would mean the 55-year-old actor could record several installments in one day, leaving his schedule open for his other commitments, the New York Daily News reports.

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie CibrianLeAnn Rimes wants to star in a sitcom. The 30-year-old singer is reportedly shopping around a comedy series based on her real life and hopes to star in the show alongside her actor husband of two years Eddie Cibrian, 39.

"[They] have been shopping around a scripted comedy based on their lives together. They would play versions of themselves, kind of like on Curb Your Enthusiasm," a source said.

The insider also revealed that the couple plan to include a "crazy ex-wife" in the show that will be inspired by Eddie's ex-wife Brandi Glanville, 40, who has had numerous public spats with LeAnn.

But LeAnn and Eddie have decided not to feature his sons with Brandi, Mason, nine, and Jake, six, on the show. "Mason and Jake are not involved. If kids end up being on it, they would be played by actors -- not Eddie's children," the insider added.

Christopher AbbottChristopher Abbott has quit Girls after clashing with Lena Dunham. The actor - who played Charlie in the HBO show - has left after reportedly falling out with the creator as they began work on season three.

"They've just started work on season three, and Chris is at odds with Lena. He didn't like the direction things are going in, which seems a bit odd since the show put him on the map," a source told Page Six.

However, Christopher's representative insists he left Girls in order to focus on "other projects." The representative said, "[Chris] is grateful for the experience of collaborating with Lena, Judd [Apatow], and the entire Girls cast and crew, but right now he's working on numerous other projects and has decided not to return to the show."

Lena recently revealed she is excited about season three and wants to extend its run from 10 to 12 episodes. "We're starting season three at the end of March. I'm so excited. I would love that [to have 12 episodes instead of 10] I think that a little more would be just a little more storytelling real estate, and it would be amazing. But you know, so I shoot four-and-a-half months out of the year, then I'm editing, then I'm doing press, then I'm writing, then I'm back."
